What has been created here has been growing for generations with the people who shape it. We love the familiar, yet question the habitual. And we consciously develop Landhaus Beckmann a little further every day.
Our history is deeply rooted in the Lower Rhine and continues to grow steadily. It all began with agriculture on Römerstraße: in 1850, the Joosten family farm was first mentioned in official documents. This was a place for harvesting, milling, and serving drinks. When Hermann Beckmann – the family’s son-in-law – took over the farm, the focus remained on arable farming until 1969.
Then came the change: daughter Else Große Holtforth and her husband Hermann turned the farmhouse into a restaurant, and later the hotel was built. Michael Große Holtforth has been running Landhaus Beckmann since 2005. Together with his team, he stands for tradition, quality and change.
